First Races

Wild Thing was out racing in the local Rum Runner races at PCYC. First race was Wednesday September 3rd; a light air race where we managed to stay with the fleet but never got much going. Last week was much better; a good start at the RC boat but we got stuck for a while to leeward of a large 40 foot Hanse. We finally managed to tack to the favorite side of the course and moved up. Although I wasn’t always pointing the boat where it should go; we still managed to finish only 14 seconds behind the other Evelyn 32 at the club.
